We're looking for a new Development Officer in based in Aberdeen.

Lucie, our Development Officer for North Isles and North East, has been awarded a scholarship to study a Masters in Data Analytics at Strathclyde University. Although we are sad to see Lucie go, this is a fantastic opportunity and we’d like to wish her all the best.

This means we’ve got another exciting opportunity to join our team as Development Officer in Aberdeen, supporting the Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) to help community groups and rural businesses to get involved in renewable energy schemes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing free and impartial advice and assistance to communities, rural businesses and landowners to understand renewables, develop community initiatives and apply for and manage funding.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic about local energy to:

  • Advise and support local community groups and rural businesses to help them build their own renewables schemes
  • Provide local community groups and rural businesses with appropriate funding and financial advice
  • Work closely with the CARES team across Scotland
  • Promote CARES to community groups, rural businesses and partner organisations

This is a full-time post with a salary of £25,500 p/a, based at Scarf in Aberdeen.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 23 July.
