We've got two exciting opportunities to join our team delivering the Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES).

Local Energy Scotland is a consortium of organisations, with centralised services based within the Energy Saving Trust and outreach support delivered by consortium partners. You can read more about us here.

Development Officer, Fort William (preferred) or Inverness

Karen Delaney, our Development Officer in Fort William, is also finishing up in August to go on maternity leave - we'd like to wish Karen and her family all the best.

We're looking for a CARES Development Officer who is passionate about community and local energy to cover Karen's post. We need someone with the drive and capability to advise communities and rural businesses in the development of local energy projects and securing benefit from local and community renewable energy schemes, either commercially or community-owned.

This is a full-time post for 9 months (may be extended to 12 months).

Shared Ownership Manager, Edinburgh

Unfortunately Laura Nicolson will be leaving us towards the end of August for a Scottish Gaelic year-long intensive immersion course in Skye. A big loss for us, but we wish Laura well and are now looking to recruit a replacement. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is working in or has worked in the industry.

CARES successfully supports communities to develop, own, operate and benefit from renewable energy projects, and this pivotal role will see our successful candidate help support communities to take a shared ownership stake in a commercial renewable energy project.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position to March 2020, with the possibility of an extension.

Applications for this position have now closed.
