Community benefit funding allows Gala Water History and Heritage Association (GWHHA) to improve access to historic materials and information about the area's rich heritage.

In the parish of Stow is situated on the Gala Water 8 miles north of Galashiels. GWHHA collects, displays and archives local history materials for the interest, education and enjoyment of residents and visitors. Since 2012, GWHHA has used community benefit funding to employ a part-time Community Archivist.
