Guildtown Community Hall

Guildtown Community Association used a CARES Innovation Grant to install two electricity batteries and a control system to work with the existing solar PV and ground source heat pump at Guildtown Community Hall.

The new batteries allow electricity generated by the solar panels to stored and used to power the heat pump, lighting for the community hall and the electric vehicle charge point. Swapping expensive, high carbon grid electricity for self-generated solar electricity has helped Guildtown Community Hall become more self-sufficient and cheaper to run.
