Sròndoire Wind Farm
The communities of Tarbert and Skipness, and Tighnabruaich District, were offered the opportunity to invest in the second phase of a major wind farm development in Knapdale, Argyll and Bute. Work began in late 2013 on delivering the project; this was completed in February 2015. The wind farm became operational in November 2015.

The Ben Mor Hydro project was originally a joint venture between Coigach Community Development Company (CCDC) & Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) with the aim of developing a ‘run-of-river’ hydro project near Achiltibuie, North West of Ullapool.

Stewart Energy
The farm business received support from CARES in order to carry out the pre-planning work necessary to achieve planning for the Marshill Turbine. During this process, Lesmahagow Development Trust (LDT) were identified as the most suitable recipient of the community benefit payment provided through the revenue generated by the turbine.

Wester Derry
The project was developed by A&D Ramsay (a rural business which manages a small farm and holiday lets) as a way of diversifying the business’s income stream. The business applied for a CARES Loan in January 2013 in order to access funds to pay for an amendment to the planning application for a new turbine, as well as a grid connection payment.

Allt Dearg Wind Farm
Allt Dearg Wind Farmers LLP (ADWF) is an organisation of six partners who own the Allt Dearg Wind Farm made up of two Estates Partners who own the land, two equity partners to invest and provide commercial management, a renewable energy developer, and The Ardrishaig Community Trust.
