Shared Ownership and the planning system

Stakeholders should be aware of the relationship between Shared Ownership and the planning system. 

Stakeholders may wish to be aware of a letter sent from the Chief Planner for Scotland, John McNairney, to the Heads of Planning at Scottish planning authorities in November 2015. This letter explicitly acknowledges the publication of the Shared Ownership Good Practice Principles, and their relevance in the planning process in assessing shared ownership project.

This guidance does not apply to shared revenue or split ownership structures.
