This study identifies options adding value to community owned electricity generation. It assesses the feasibility and identifies technology options including aggregation, sleeving, new supply companies, optimisation of supply and demand and, auxiliary services.
• Analyses each of the alternative routes to market. It looks at the main benefits to both generators and suppliers, regulatory requirements, estimated lead time and set up costs, minimum contract duration, and supply volumes. A risk analysis is completed for each of the alternatives
• Potential impacts of EMR and current on-going DECC work-streams;
• Revenue benchmarks for standard offtakes/ PPAs and assesses the best route to market in each scenario, taking into account the value achieved for the power, green certificates and other benefits.
