Solar PV installations
Procurement support for Solar PV projects
Local Energy Scotland is facilitating a solar PV (and battery) procurement scheme aimed at making it easier to benefit from solar power.
Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels can provide a low cost, reliable source of green energy, offsetting the cost of energy bought though your energy supplier.
This targeted support is aimed at small to medium sized PV installation projects and focuses on the competitive procurement of professional installers to take projects forward.
The Local Energy Scotland team will be on hand to give you advice and support throughout the process. Local Energy Scotland can facilitate this procurement process, and can provide individual project advice, support and funding to eligible applicants.
Projects will still need to source additional funding for their own system.
To proceed with the scheme procurement you will need to provide the details requested in our site information form.
Installers who have met the standards our invitation document are:
- Absolute Solar and Wind Ltd
- AES solar
- Emtec Energy
- Green Team Partnership
The opportunity for installers to respond to the invitation to participate remains open, however please note that we will not be reviewing any new responses until after December 2020.
We will confirm this review date in advance, by notification on this website. This period is to maintain a balance between ensuring open competition and being considerate of the efforts of those that have already responded.
Please monitor this website from the end of 2020 if you would like to respond to the Invitation to Participate closer to the next review date.
This invitation is open to all solar installers that are MCS accredited, work in Scotland and can achieve the standards set out in the invitation document. This document also acts as an expression of interest form and can be submitted to email@example.com.
If unsuccessful, contractors are invited to submit interest again 6 months after first responding.
If you are interested in joining the scheme, please download the invitation to participate here.
